Dear Friends,

Since its first edition in 1991, the PRIP has been the place for scientists, researchers, and engineers to come together and discuss the basic and applied science in the field of pattern recognition and information processing, the latest developments in machine learning, computer vision. UIIP NASB, BSUIR, and BSU were perfect venues to meet colleagues to exchange up-to-date technical knowledge, new ideas, and experience. In these challenging times, when physical meetings are poorly-possible, we have decided to organize a hybrid event, which means that you may register to participate off-line (at UIIP this time) or choose the option to present your ideas in an on-line format. Moreover, we will stream sessions which will allow us to reach out to representatives of the wide scientific community and the young generation that would normally not have the means and/or time to physically travel to Minsk.
The PRIP2021 Motto is: “Artificial Intelligence: Facing the Challenges”. Despite the problems with COVID19, we objectively assess the importance of this topic. The concept of AI has already become closely intertwined in our daily life. However, there is still no consensus on whether all tasks can be solved using these technologies. Abuse or obligatory use - we will raise such issues of ethics, modern information society, and cybernetics. Your successful AI use cases (but not just AI), including in the fight against the pandemic, is the story of our conference in 2021.

Warmest Regards
